Cookies
If you are finding that you can login but are then asked to re-login repeatedly it may be that you do not have cookies enabled in your browser. The NVPN website uses cookies to temporarily store information when you access the members' area. Cookies are small text files and are harmless and do not contain viruses. The cookie that the NVPN website creates will not remain once you have closed all your browser windows.

To alter your security settings within your browser to allow cookies:

If you're using Internet Explorer 6.0:
1. Choose Tools, then
2. Internet Options.
3. Click the Privacy tab,
4. Default setting is medium. Move the slider to determine which setting you prefer.
5. You can also click on Advanced for specialized cookie treatment.

If you're using Internet Explorer 5.0:
1. Choose Tools, then
2. Internet Options.
3. Click the Security tab,
4. Click Internet, then Custom Level.
5. Scroll down to Cookies and choose one of the two options.

If you're using Netscape 6.x or 7.x
1. Click Edit on the Toolbar.
2. Click Preferences
3. Click the Privacy and Security category; expand the list to show the subcategories.
4. Click Cookies
Three options are displayed. Click the appropriate choice: Disable cookies; Enable cookies for the originating web site only; Enable all cookies.
If you want to be notified when a web site tries to set a cookie, select "Warn me before accepting a cookie."
