Everyday Alexander Technique – Moving Through Life with Greater Ease.
Many people come to the Alexander Technique because of physical problems: back, neck or shoulder pain, RSI, stress, vocal or breathing disorders etc. Alexander Technique teachers use a combination of gentle manual guidance and verbal coaching to help their pupils bring about increasing ease and poise in their everyday activities.

Singing & the Alexander Technique – "Non-singers" welcome!
Singing and voice lessons based on the principles of the Alexander Technique.
Alexander (1869 – 1955) was an actor who suffered from breathing and voice problems. He developed his method out of a seven-year period of self-observation using a three-way system of mirrors – the equivalent of video-feedback today. Alexander returned to the stage free of his vocal and breathing difficulties.

Presentation Skills & the Alexander Technique – Speaking with Confidence!

Confident public speaking and presentation skills are a must for anyone who wants to thrive in today’s marketplace. There are two elements to any presentation – the "song" and the "singer" – what you say and how you say it. Presentation is at its most powerful and compelling when the non-verbal elements, voice and body language, and the verbal elements of a message support and reinforce each other.

Alan Mars has been a STAT qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique since 1982. After 22 years of teaching in Camden & Islington he now also teaches in Brighton & Hove. He has taught Alexander Technique, voicework and singing at leading London performance schools – the Arts Educational Drama School, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal College of Music.

Alan has taught Alexander Technique based presentation and public speaking skills to staff from many top public and private companies including Abbey National; General Electric; Sainsbury’s; Lloyds of London; Comet; the Royal Pharmaceutical Society; BNFL and the Probation Service – to name but a few. He is the author of a book on presentation skills – "Presenter" published by Hodder and Stoughton.
