This is the 11th Chiltern Community Choirs Festival.  The annual event brings together over 120 people from community choirs in Berks, Bucks and Oxfordshire, to sing together and have a relaxed and fun day.  Our four voice leaders – Emily, Sarah, Bruce and Roger – have many years of leadership experience between them, all of them running community choirs in the region.

In the morning, everyone sings together, learning songs taught by the leaders (with usually at least one original one written for the festival by Roger!)  In the afternoon, each leader runs a 90-minute workshop on a theme of their choice, and after tea and cake, the workshops show-case what they’ve learnt.  Individuals book but publicity goes out to as many choirs as we can contact in the region so we get to know who’s out there enjoying the power of community singing.
