A full day of harmony singing for Beatles lovers. Learn fun harmony arrangements of well-loved songs by the Fab Four.
St. Andrew’s Church, Waterloo is a light and airy venue just 4 minutes’ walk from Southwark tube station, 6 minutes’ walk from Waterloo East and 8 minutes’ walk from Waterloo station. It is near both the Old Vic and Young Vic with plenty of grocery stores and coffee shops in the area. There is also a small park, Ufford Street Gardens, nearby if it’s sunny at lunchtime. The venue is wheelchair accessible with a disabled toilet.
George Martin’s first recording session with The Beatles was in 1962 at Abbey Road studios. It was during these sessions that Ringo Starr joined as drummer and The Beatles became the band that we all know and love. Join Chris for the day to learn some of their best-loved songs, all in glorious unaccompanied harmony. Deceptively simple, Beatles songs are amazingly effective and rich, and reward the close examination that a full day allows.
As always, Chris will teach everything by ear (no need to read music). No previous experience needed – just bring yourself and have a go. Whether you’ve only ever sung in the shower, or you’re already in a choir, there will be something here for everyone. All in a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
