Join us for a week staying in a large comfortable farmhouse with twin and double bedrooms and a cosy living room for singing round the fire.
We will sing songs from Scotland in Gaelic, Scots and English, as well as from other countries – and enjoy walks along the wild coast to see otters, eagles, and more. Other outings include a visit to a nearby island and the Jura distillery, and the Jura folk festival at the end of the week where we have sung on many occasions in the visitors concert.
All meals are provided. The accommodation is in double and twin bedrooms.
Travel is easy – either by car via Glasgow and the M8, past Loch Lomond, Rest and be Thankful, Inveraray and Tarbert to Kennacraig – then the CalMac ferry to Islay and the smaller ferry to Jura (you can leave your car on the mainland or bring it with you on the boat.)
Or you can get public transport to Glasgow and the 9am Citylink bus from Buchanan Street to Kennacraig (the ferry will wait if the bus is late.) Then CalMac to Port Askaig and the Jura ferry to Jura. We help with arranging lift shares.
Cost: £495 (doesn’t include travel costs, or one outings where an entrance fee is needed.)
