Summer Solstice Online Song Circle

23 Jun 2024

7pm—8.30pm

International Summer Solstice Song Circle with Tembre (Portugal), Barbara McAfee (USA) & Jody Vyner (UK)
Come celebrate Summer Solstice online through harmony singing with 3  experienced song leaders bringing original & community songs for connection, enjoyment & inspiration.

All songs will be taught by ear by three song leaders in a relaxed and inclusive way
All voices and abilities welcome. As with the nature of singing online, none of the participants’ voices are heard, only the leaders. A perfect opportunity to have a sing for people who are nervous about singing in front of people and also so perfect for any experienced singers who want to learn new songs & sing alongside these two amazing guests.
Tembre has been hosting We May Sing events since May 2022, inviting guests from around the world to connect us in song. It is with so much joy that we welcome Barbara McAfee to our event for the first time: an inspiration to the song leaders’ world. You are in for a treat! It’s also so lovely to be welcoming Jody to our event for the first time, a genuine heartfelt addition to our evening.

Jody Vyner

Jody Vyner works as a psychotherapist and runs Singing Roots – nurturing singing circles in and around Sussex, UK. She has been many other things in this lifetime; taught French, worked with asylum seekers and refugees, trained as a doula, in antenatal teaching and support, story-telling and face painting! It is her belief that the more experiences and skills she can gather along the way, the more richness and range she can bring to her work. Combining her love of singing and song writing with her a deep knowledge and experience of psychotherapy, there is always a therapeutic element to her gatherings which can be leant into for a deeply nurturing experience. Her circles are about turning up just as you are and giving yourself the chance to really check in and connect with yourself and be held by the words and the harmonies shared
