Join us on a singing walk through the Borrowdale woods in the Lake District singing songs together in harmony alongside singers from near and far. We will walk past the Lodore Falls and up through the woods to Watendlath Beck, Ashness Bridge, Surprise view and the lovely Watendlath hamlet, before walking down the hill to Rossthwaite and the bus back to Lodore and Keswick.
Starts at the Lodore Falls Hotel in Borrowdale (park here or come on bus from Keswcik) Walk is about 5 miles long but can be made shorter by taking the bus. Please bring a packed lunch.
Songs celebrating the woods and mountains, and our fabulous camaraderie as we walk together. Some songs learnt in advance, some well known, some learnt on the hoof.
Led by David Burbidge who has lived in Cumbria for most of his life, has led singing walking groups for over 30 years, and who leads the celebrated Lakeland Voices who sing on mountain tops, by waterfalls and lake, in Lakeland pubs and on trains to Slovenia and beyond.
