Description

OVER THE MOON CHOIR 🌙 is a friendly and welcoming monthly drop-in community choir, who meet one Sunday per month (2.30 – 4.30pm) at The Town Hall in Ashburton.  There are no auditions, no need to commit to the term, and we are not a performing choir – we sing for fun!

We sing uplifting, soothing and playful acapella (unaccompanied) harmony songs from around the world, all taught by ear in a warm and supportive atmosphere.  Weaving our voices together, we connect with ourselves and one another, regulate our nervous systems, and increase our overall sense of wellbeing.

Faith Burch will be teaching harmony songs, and simple techniques to help people explore and connect with their voices in a relaxed and supportive environment. Drawing on years of experience singing in choirs, vocal groups, and festival spaces, and formal vocal training in London, Devon & India, she creates uplifting sessions that celebrate the joy, magic, and connection of singing together.

Accessibility:  there are about 25 steps up to the town hall room.  To use the lift, go around the back of the town hall and walk towards the community fridge, next to the Tourist Info Centre.  Go through the glass door into back of town hall and press number 1 in the lift to go up to the room.
