Sing Ahoy! Dursley Sea Shanty and Folk Choir

Dursley – Tabernacle Church

Join Sing Ahoy as we sing rousing shanties, joyous celebration songs, haunting laments and catchy ditties. Traditional and contemporary folk songs from our own fair isles and from other cultures around the world, taught in 2 and 3 part harmony with many original arrangements
There’s a place for you in the choir, regardless of your singing ability. Whether you’re uncertain and need some support from your fellow singers as you learn the songs, or a confident singer you are welcome here. There are no auditions as we believe singing is for everyone.

Led by Pearl Legay-Clarke, leader who also leads Stroud Folk Choir,

There is the option of joining  sessions will be open on a drop in basis.

Children and teens are welcome to come along with a responsible adult. We are keen to keep this a fun space for all so I ask that the children who come are keen to sing (or to listen to the singing if they are littl’uns), there is a break out room if you need a space to tend to your child.

£8 per adult
£3.50 per child over 5 years

I know that people are experiencing financial burden at the moment so if you’d like to come but are struggling then please just have a word with me and we can agree a concessionary rate that is comfortable for you.
