Song Circle – Chants and Rounds (SW Cornwall)

01 Nov 2026

10.00—12.00

Centre of Pendeen

All voices are welcome to join this fluid approach to Circle singing, forever changing, never the same from one session to the next.  Our voices ebb and flow like the sea which surrounds us…

We are meeting in the lovely community centre in Pendeen with great sea views, situated not far from the SW coast path and wild moorland, close to Geevor Tin Mine – not far from St Just, Sennen, Zennor and St Ives with a rich heritage and associated landscape of mining, fishing and farming.

We relax, we breathe, we sing, we listen and together we explore chants, rounds and ‘song bath’ to co-create a sense of unity, liberation and well-being.

This opportunity is open to all and is a collective experience, whether you’ve previously participated in anything similar or not.

We sing from our core and our heart rather than our head…the intention is to simply create a positive energy through connecting with others.

This is a very supportive and compassionate environment and a great place to overcome any anxiety around singing.  We allow whatever emotions surface to simply be, without there being any need to shut them down.  It is a healing space and we all benefit…

Feedback from previous sessions:

“Thank you for creating the wonderful space that is Song Circle, and for your sensitivity in making everyone feel seen and welcome”

“no matter how I’m feeling when I arrive, I always leave feeling lighter and uplifted”

“Thank you for all you’ve given to me and others. I have found my voice with you and am able to enjoy singing as I never thought I would.”

“It was so welcome and welcoming. I love the way you hold the space in the session – it’s just perfectly toned – wonderful – such a skill to manage it all with such a deft light touch … and gorgeous singing and songs. Big thanks and gratitude for all that you do.”

“Thank you so much for this morning. I was blown away. Loved it. Very much.”

In consideration of the climate crisis and our environmental impact – please consider arriving on foot, bicycle, via car share or public transport.  It is however acknowledged that this may not always be practical.

This event is held a few times a month on Sundays in either Pendeen or Newlyn with a break in the summer (no session in August).

Additional weekday sessions may be available in Pendeen – contact Sue for further info.
