Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, click on “By location” and select “United Kingdom”, and you will then be able to narrow down your search by postcode. Alternatively you can zoom in on the map.

If you are searching for a choir outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

Singing with all Seasons

Location

Southstoke, Bath

Description

Join us from the 1st of November as we gather together to welcome in the Winter and prepare for our descent into the darkest months of the year. We will be holding these once a month taking us through the depths of winter into the emergence of spring.  Tickets are limited to keep this group intimate.

Experience the nourishing power of community, voice and song as we meet by the fireside in a cozy living room overlooking stunning countryside.

These gatherings will be held and facilitated by Elpha, an experienced Natural Voice Network Song Leader, yoga teacher and circle holder. Each gathering is uniquely crafted as she creates a bespoke experience tailored to the themes of the workshops. Taking inspiration and wisdom from the ever-changing seasons, she utilises her gift in holding space and sharing song to create experiences for others to really tune into themselves, each other and the natural world around them. Each session is deep and meaningful, interwoven with lightness and humour. While this is not a therapy group, there is a therapeutic element to these sessions which you can embrace if you wish.

We look forward to welcoming you into our growing community.

What to expect:

  • A friendly warm welcome
  • Opening grounding exercise & vocal warm ups to land in the space & regulate our nervous systems.
  • A short go round the circle to hear from each member of the group (no one will ever be expected to speak if they do not wish to.
  • A carefully curated collection of songs to learn as a group, mainly learned in 2/3/4 part harmonies.
  • A closing circle
  • plus some laughs, lots of fun, a bit of introspection and a touch of magic along the way

No previous singing experience is necessary – all voices are welcomed, including people who believe that they can’t sing.

This is primarily an event offered for adults- However we do offer limited tickets for babies 2 and under free of charge, and would consider a small donation towards older children in which you’d struggle to attend without (Get in touch regarding this). These are with the agreement that they are completely your responsibility and under your watch and care.

We are really looking forward to welcoming you to our special growing community. If this offering is of interest to you please do get in contact.

Singing4fun with Parkinson’s

Location

Marchmont St. Giles, 3 Kilgraston Rd, Edinburgh EH9 2DW

Description

We sing for fun and enjoyment as well as to exercise the vocal folds, respiratory and facial muscles. Our singing builds friendships and laughter is guaranteed! Sessions include rounds, part harmonies, traditional songs, jazz numbers, ballads and songs from around the globe. No prior singing experience is required and you don’t have to read music – songs are taught by ear. We generally sing without accompaniment but occasionally our song leaders may add a little of their choosing.

Singing4Fun is not just for people with Parkinson’s – anyone who wants to sing is welcome. Nor do you have to commit to coming every week, drop-in when you can. There is a small charge for each session.

Do get in touch if you’d like to come along. During the pandemic, I made weekly 45 minute singing videos for this group that are available for anyone to watch, learn and sing along with here: https://singlouderthanguns.com/health-and-music/. There are now 90 videos!
