Community musician: choir leader, singer/songwriter, performer, guitar and voice teacher.
Over the past 20 years, I have led singing groups and workshops across Devon, Dorset and New Zealand, I am currently leading a group in West Wales.
Specialising in acapella and focusing on the joy of singing for fun, my passion lies in creating an inclusive space where voices of all abilities are celebrated. I love to see how singing with others supports individual wellbeing, builds confidence and helps to grow social connections.
The material I cover ranges from simple rounds to more complex multi-part harmonies from around the world. The parts are taught by ear and supported with follow-up recordings if needed.
Whether you’re an experienced singer or a complete beginner, I hope my approach and sessions will leave you uplifted and inspired.

In addition to choirs, I co-led with Peter Grech, an experienced walking leader, a walking singing group in Dorset in 2018 which we called ‘Sing&Stroll, Rock&Ramble’. We would find lovely walks around Bridport and have stops along the way to sing.
We were supported by a group called ‘Stepping into Nature’, which aimed to help people be happier and healthier by connecting with nature. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, the project used Dorset’s natural and cultural landscape to provide inclusive nature-based activities for older adults, including those living with long term health conditions.
My love of music has included songwriting, recording, producing albums, performing solo and with others, teaching guitar and voice and working with students of all ages and abilities. In 2012 I was invited to give a TEDx talk about my personal journey with music.
I love the power that music has to motivate, unite and energise us – whether singing solo, in a choir, performing or dancing, whether emotional, physical, mental or spiritual, it has the power to support us on every level. I hold a Level 4 Diploma with merit in Performance Arts Teaching from Stagecoach Performing Arts. I am a certified laughter yoga leader and use some of these exercises in my sessions. I am a member of ‘Sound Sense’ – ‘the professional association of community musicians’.
My mission is to inspire others to find the confidence and joy in their own musical journey.
From previous groups:
I absolutely loved the group singing. The beautiful sound of combined harmonised voices is treasure. I laughed, I cried and I sang with people I may never have met otherwise. You are a great teacher that I wanted to learn from and listen to. You hold a lovely safe space and your skill at direction is admirable. If I get the chance again, I will definitely be back. Thank you ,thank you, thank you . Till we sing again. C xxxxx. NZ 2023

You are so positive and cheerful that it gives my mood a lift. I am super impressed how you can sing any part at the drop of a hat! The fact that practically everyone comes to each practice speaks for itself. ❤️. C.E. NZ 2023

I have been with Tina’s “Singing for Fun” group since it began three years ago. It must have been such a daunting challenge for her. We were a small group, differing ages, backgrounds, interests and singing abilities. Tina has gently encouraged and moulded us into an extremely happy and confident unit. Every session is fun. Without feeling any pressure or panic we were manoeuvred through various processes and techniques. Tina manages to produce amazing results in her quiet and confident way. She has extensive musical ability both as a performer and as a teacher. She is sensitive to the group’s individual problems which include lack of confidence, ability and physical and mental problems. She takes it all in her stride.
As a timid non-singer all my life I cannot praise Tina enough. She has worked miracles! Her techniques, beautiful arrangements and harmonies are a joy to sing and to hear. We are all testimony to her amazing kindness, ability and fantastic fun methods of teaching. She continually encourages us, manages to raise our spirits and outlook on life at every session.
I have no hesitation in highly commending Tina to you and would be glad to give any further information. Joyce W. Devon 2019

Regarding workshops:
’Tina is a very natural, gifted communicator. She led the workshop in a gentle and encouraging way, making sure everyone felt comfortable and included, yet safe to experiment with our voices and find new depth of connection and harmony. …..
….We had a thoroughly relaxed, joyful and at times moving morning together, learning new skills and discovering different ways of making the most of our voices – through breathing technique, connecting well with ourselves, the songs we sing and those we sing to. ‘
