Natural Voice and other community choirs; singalong sessions; other community music groups.
I am a Preston-based music workshop provider operating as www.PrestonMusicWorkshops.com. I’ve also been involved in running a number of concerts, regular music nights and festivals.
I am employed by the Preston People’s Choir and Worldwise Samba Drummers as their musical director, and by the Blue Flamingo dementia cafe and Sense on behalf of Preston Day Service as a music activity provider. I run the Preston Scratch Band, Preston Handbell Ensemble, Good Day Sunshine Recorder Group, Cottam Ukuleles, Jubiloso (music-making for people with disabilties) and Illumination Community Choir.
Preston People’s Choir is a friendly choir which welcomes anybody who wants to enjoy singing in a group. We learn the songs by ear so you don’t need to be able to read music. There are no auditions and you don’t need any experience. Led by Jon Aveyard of the Natural Voice Network, we sing a wide range of songs from all over the world.
Your first two sessions are free so you can see if it’s for you. After that, there are variable rates of pay available.
From 6pm, parking is available on Kirkham Street and in the adjacent university car parks.
Every Tuesday evening (not Easter, August, Christmas and New Year) from 7pm to 8.30pm
