Additional information

I love the moment when a room full of strangers lock into the same groove, or a chord lands and you feel it in your chest. That’s the whole reason I do this.

I trained with the Natural Voice Network and with Stephen Taberner, and this year toured the UK with the Australian-based group The Spooky Men’s Chorale.

I’ve also spent years living in Latin America and travelling to West Africa to study music and singing traditions there, cultures where people commit to the moment completely, live with joy and gratitude, and sing and dance like today could be their last. I try to bring some of that full-hearted energy into every session, even when the songs themselves are something else entirely.

I’m currently co-leading Murmuration Choir, Bristol, and I’ve just started The Bristol Thrum, a weekly choir in East Bristol.
