Additional information

I am a singer and community musician based in Macclesfield, East Cheshire. I run a range of different singing groups. I regularly work with organisations such as Hoot Creative Arts (Huddersfield) and Cre8 (Macclesfield) to run singing sessions focusing on mental health and wellbeing. I love singing in unusual spaces and run seasonal woodland choirs with Wild Rumpus (Scholar Green), Singing in Paradise at Macclesfield Silk Mill, as well as popping up in various fields across the summer festival session. I also lead a gorgeous Saturday Singing Circle which brings me much joy.

I’ve worked with schools, arts charities, hospices, care homes, day centres, community groups, and within the prison system. My aim in any setting is always to create fun and uplifting singing experiences because as we know – singing is so good for us!

Saturday Singing Circle
Description

Led by singing leader Siobhan Donnelly, the Saturday Singing Circle meets at Mother Nature Sanctuary every six weeks for a relaxing afternoon of uplifting harmony, singing gorgeous songs together to relieve stress and tension.
The group is open anyone who wants to join regardless of their past singing experience. All songs are taught by ear so there’s no requirement to read music. It’s all about fun and enjoyment and less about getting the notes right all the time (although it helps sometimes!).

The Singing Circle has a real sense of community, keeping in touch via the Singing Circle whatsapp group between sessions and on the weeks the group doesn’t meet, Siobhan shares a song of the week for everyone to sing at home.

These afternoon sessions are ideal for anyone who loves to sing but can’t keep up with the regular commitment of a weekly choir.

Session times

Every six weeks on Saturday afternoon. Contact Siobhan for all upcoming dates.
