Specialisms

Community choirs in Upper Clapton and Hammersmith and 1-2-1 vocal tuition

Additional information

I have been running Community Choirs in Upper Clapton and Hammersmith post Covid and am currently extending my teaching to include 1-2-1 vocal sessions

The choir sessions are fun and inclusive. I teach by ear but do provide scores for those that like to have them.

Both choirs are a cappella and non-audition

Prior to starting the choirs, I worked on shorter ‘pop-up’ choir projects for specific events and running workshops at festivals such as Sidmouth, Broadstairs and Whitby folk festivals

My singing experience is grounded in the traditional genres of England and Ireland and I am part of a new (2022) traditional trio called ‘Rumpled Muslin’ along with two other amazing women singers.

I have been working within Adult Education for over 30 years  as a teacher and senior manager and have a lot of experience teaching adults.

My choir repertoire includes  traditional songs from the global diaspora along with pop classics and contemporary pieces.

See some examples of sound files in the media box that I create for my choirs to enable practice outside of the weekly sessions.

I am available to work on short song projects/workshops or give 1-2-1 vocal tuition.
