Additional information

I’ve been singing all my life, and through all the twists and turns it’s been the solid core. Since childhood I’ve sung and played in various bands and choirs, and when I was in my late thirties I started leading the Montpelier Community Gospel Choir, from which I recently stepped back after 26 years. During that time I also became involved as a camp leader with Village Harmony, the wonderful organization founded by Larry Gordon that has brought community singing to so many people around the world. And along with that multitude (including many of you reading this), the experience of Village Harmony led to many other amazing musical relationships. These days I’m directing Rock City, an open rock and soul chorus in Barre, Vermont, as well as continuing to compose a cappella music for community choirs and to co-lead singing workshops and holidays (both on my own and with some of the brilliant people I’ve met on this path, including Ali Burns, Jane Harris and Brendan Taaffe). I also have a growing voice studio that primarily serves folks who want to come back to singing after a long absence. I’m trained in Somatic VoiceworkTM, and believe whole-heartedly that singing is everyone’s birthright.
