Historically, this group have always worked from sheet music but we do have non-music readers too; all levels of experience welcome, and we will cater for whichever way you prefer to learn. The repertoire is a beautiful mix of more traditionally ‘choral’ pieces plus a gradually broadening repertoire of song. We currently have a good balance of c 30 mixed voices. Sing for Health is a GP funded Singing for Health group so is free to attend. We spend the first 20-25 minutes on whole body breathing awareness exercises through relaxing, working with posture, and bringing ourselves into balance which we then use in the context of songs. Born out of Sing for Health, the Feel-Good Chorus is an uplifting, open-to-all singing group of 30 plus voices based in Pershore, Worcestershire and a new group in Worcester. We sing a fun and varied repertoire of songs, some you will know well, some will be unknown to you, in up to 4-part harmony. Many of these singers have been part of ‘Sing for Health’ for some time and were sounding so marvellous and having such a good time that a ‘choir’ group was the natural progression! Since that move we have been joined by other members of the community – it is a really joyous group! We are recruiting now, particularly in our new group in Worcester; come and give us a try!
Tuesday afternoons between 2 - 3.30pm in Pershore and Tuesday mornings from 10 - 11.30 at The Swan Theatre in Worcester
Vocal High – a marvellous and unique gaggle of songsters from around Pershore and Worcestershire parts. VH is an exciting and dynamic group of like-minded souls, truly an extended family in song! Formed in 2016, we are a 45-strong performing group of mixed voices singing an unexpected and genre-defying repertoire!
Tuesdays and Wednesday evenings
