Ryan is an experienced singing teacher, performer and community facilitator. Currently running the Islington Community Choir, UCL Jazz vocals, The Park Life Singers and many other choirs across north London
‘I’m a firm believer that everyone can sing, and that we shouldn’t go into things we enjoy seeking perfection. I’ve seen many a pitchy person roll through the doors to choir and end up taking solos, and it all comes to being brave enough to do it in the first place. we want to be creating a world where we connect and bring people in, and fight for things together and shape the world together. For me that starts with singing together.’
I lead several weekly choirs across North London, run Weekend workshops and compose original songs
The Islington Community Choir is a community choir which has been running for 10. years now. We sing music from all over the world and from any style, learning a lot about other cultures and singing traditions as we go. This group is not an auditioned group but does require a higher level of movement and musicianship.
In the ICC, community is the most important part of what we do, and we often go for lunch together, book tickets to shows and concerts and have karaoke sessions! It’s the best place to be to find people with positivity, great humour and a love of music.

A community Choir started in 2016, The Park Life Singers run Monday Evenings (Term time).
singing a mix of repertoire the group raise for many local causes, and perform in different venues throughout the year. In particular we raise for the local Food charity Laurences Larder that is very close to our hearts.
At the end of term we always have a party and have several socials throughout the year.
