Hello!
I’m Rachel, a singer around Wallingford who loves to teach harmonies. I have over 10 years’ experience running choirs and singing groups in my spare time. I directed my workplace choir for 5 years, born out of our need for something creative to do, leading to numerous local performances and a lot of fun rehearsing in lunchbreaks. After that I ran a weekly singing group for the Benson day centre for 2 years, and briefly ran choirs on behalf of SingForce and Singing Mamas before lockdown in 2020. Alongside an illustrious career in soil testing, I now focus on what I love to do most: leading people in song, especially if they have limited experience, have been told they can’t sing, or just want to let go and have fun. I have some musical training, but mainly do it because I love it and can’t help it.

Easy, uplifting harmony singing in the beautiful village of Chilton.
Come and sing beautiful harmony songs from many traditions, all taught by ear with no sheet music, no auditions, no homework, and no pressure! Just beautiful music to enjoy – turn up and let loose. We meet in Chilton Village Hall, in The Morris Room. There is plenty of parking on site.

Thursday evenings in term time
A relaxing and uplifting singing session with beautiful harmonies taught by ear. No sheet music or homework, just turn up and let loose! Open to absolutely everyone of all ages and abilities. I teach music in many styles and languages, layering up simple parts to build beautiful music all without accompaniment.
LOCATION
Laurence Hall, 3 Church Rd, Cholsey, Wallingford OX10 9PP. There is parking outside the hall, and there are kitchen and toilet facilities.
CHILDREN
Parents and caregivers, you are most welcome to bring small children with you (please bring whatever they need, but the singing is for you!)
