Singing leading, music primary teaching, drum circles
I lead Fellside Singers (by myself) and The Growing Singers (in partnership with Clare Elleray Mee)
My many years’ experience of primary school teaching have involved tons of singing, drumming and other percussion playing including signing songs and using actions to enhance musical experiences. Being an Advanced Skills Teacher has allowed me to share my love of music making with colleagues from all over the county.
I sing in a quartet called Pandora’s Handbag – a group of friends who love to chat, snack and drink tea as well as sing beautiful harmonies!
Fellside Singers are a group that sing together for the joy of it, and who perform locally with a repertoire of folk, traditional and contemporary music that’s fun to sing and lovely to hear. I began leading the group in 2013 and we are affiliated to the NVN.
Thursday evenings in term time from 7.30 to 9.30pm.
Singing for wellbeing – and no other reason. Singing glorious harmony songs from around the world with a friendly bunch of others. Good for us physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, musically! No music reading skills necessary. Just bring your willingness to sing.
See the website for the details of the dates as these do not always follow school term-times.
Come for a free session, just to see if you like it.
Monday evenings 7pm-8.30pm
