In August 2022, having taught music and led choirs in schools for almost 30 years, I left the classroom and became managing director of \’Voices In Tune CIC\’ a Social Enterprise with an aim to develop community, improve wellbeing and reduce isolation through group singing.
I now lead three community choirs where developing friendship and fellowship is as important as the singing.
I have also lead singing for wellbeing sessions for Northumberland Recovery College.
A friendly choir for residents of Bedlington and surrounding areas. There is no audition or voice test and no need to be able to read music. Many of our members have never sung in a choir before, so please don’t let that put you off. We work towards small performances in the community, singing a variety of genres of music from traditional to more modern and lots in between.
Monday evenings between 7:00pm and 8:30pm.
A friendly choir for residents of Cramlington and surrounding areas. There is no audition or voice test and no need to be able to read music. Many of our members have never sung in a choir before, so please don’t let that put you off. We work towards small performances in the community, singing a variety of genres of music from traditional to more modern and lots in between.

Arrive from 7pm and enjoy the singing between 7:30pm and 9:00pm.

We work towards concerts, singing a variety of genres of music from traditional to more modern and lots in between.
Tuesday afternoons.
Arrive from 1:00pm and enjoy the singing between 1:30pm and 3:00pm.
