Community Choirs for both mixed and women/upper voices only- daytime and/or evening
I have been running choirs since I moved to Devon in 1990 and started a parent and baby singing group, ran workshops in schools and started an evening class that became my first community choir. I currently run 3 choirs, offering a variety of songs for a range of abilities, from folk and pop to Balkan and South African.
I have a music diploma from the OU and arrange some songs for my choirs as well as using traditional and contemporary arrangements by other brilliant musicians, and all music is taught by ear. Scores are sometimes available for those who prefer to read the notes.
This friendly choir meet for the joy of singing and well being, enjoying rounds and 3 part harmony songs from around the world.
The tea break enables socialising and you can sit or stand to sing in this group, in the lovely big hall.
The choir perform locally once or twice a year, which is optional.
£7 week. All welcome.

Exeter GH is a mixed choir singing a wide range of traditional and modern songs in 4 part harmony. These hard working and fun filled sessions have held a strong group of singers for many years, with around 30 attending each evening. We perform at local festivals and the focus is on making beautiful and uplifting music and enjoying varieties of song.
