Care to Sing
Description

This is a small singing group set up for the Carers of East Lothian (CoEL), to provide a social singing respite opportunity to all unpaid carers within East Lothian.  We sing easy 2 or 3 part songs, a cappella and finish our session with tea, biscuits and chat.  The emphasis is on fun and connection, and everyone is so welcoming and supportive of each other.  There are many laughs and for some, this is ‘their time’ each week.

Session times

Wednesdays 1:30 - 3:00pm

Coastal Tones
Description

We are an upbeat and most friendly new community choir formed in 2022 who love to sing all genres a cappella.  No auditions or music reading required, although scores and sound files are given for ease of learning (at the request of members).  We have a Throwback Thursday event each month, where people are invited to drop-in and join in with a trip through ‘favourites’ – and there’s cake!  We will be performing occasionally, and also will join forces with other local groups for larger events. New singers are most welcome to drop in for a couple of sessions to try us out – just send a wee email in advance to let me know you’re coming.

Session times

Thursdays 7-9pm

North Berwick Sings
Description

We are a fabulous group of ladies, many of whom have been singing together, a cappella, for 10 years in this community choir.  Gentlemen:  You are most welcome to join!   Don’t be shy!  In fact, the ladies would love to add some bass harmony to their songs.  No auditions or music reading required, although scores and sound files are given for ease of learning (at the request of members).  New singers are invited to drop in for a couple of sessions to try us out – just send a wee email in advance to let me know you’re coming.  We occasionally perform at community events and join forces with other local groups for larger events.

Please email me for more information or to arrange a day to ‘drop in’ and try us out.  We look forward to singing with you!

Session times

Tuesday mornings from 11:00am - 12:30pm

Tyninghame Singers
Description

We are a friendly community group who meet to sing all things a cappella in the gorgeously resonant village hall in quaint Tyninghame.  No auditions or music reading required, although scores and sound files are given for ease of learning (at the request of members).  New singers are most welcome to drop in for a couple of sessions to try us out – just send a wee email in advance to let me know you’re coming.  We occasionally perform at village events and join forces with other local groups for larger events.  Please note:  You’ll need a torch at the end of the evening as we’re rural and guided only by the stars at nightfall!
