Sing Out for Autumn!

23 Nov 2025

14.00—17.00

North Wootton Village Hall, Somerset

NEW DATE!

Sing Out for Autumn – uplifting songs to chase away the winter blues!

At this time of seasonal change we find strength in our common humanity, rooted in nature, as we move from autumn harvest to winter hibernation.

We will share whatever feelings we bring, unite in song and rise up through harmony!

This is a family event – we welcome all children who would like to join in the singing with their parent/carer.

If you’re new to this – you get to experience the joy, love, peace and healing that comes from singing in community.

Songs will be rooted in the natural voice tradition and will be led by Natural Voice Song Leaders Sue Rushforth and Lucy Goldsack, with previous experience of choir leading (Shepton Mallet Sings! and Frome Community Choir), collaborating for the first time to co-host this event.

Songs will be taught by ear (3 or 4 parts) and some scores may be provided but there is no requirement to read music and if you have never sung with a group before, you are especially welcome.

Our community sing will be held in the lovely village of North Wootton, within sight of Glastonbury Tor, close to the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels.

There will be a break halfway through and refreshments provided.

A discounted ticket is available for children participating with their parent/carer.  A corner will be provided for any child needing ‘time out’ and we suggest they bring something suitable to keep themselves amused – e.g. drawing, reading, puzzles (no devices please).

We do not wish cost to be a barrier to singing so if you are struggling to afford the minimum ticket price for you or your family – please contact the event organiser.

Further details will be provided nearer the event date.
