Step into a world of rich vocal traditions, where voices weave together across centuries and borders. In this joyful workshop, we’ll explore the soulful, earthy, and powerful polyphonic songs of Southern Europe — from the haunting laments of Sardinia to the festive harmonies of Portugal, the robust mountain songs of Corsica to the passionate village choruses of Sicily and Spain.

Telford Holiday Inn is set in 450 acres of the award-winning Telford Town Park half a mile from the city centre and railway station, and just off the M54. Telford’s iconic, 18th-century Ironbridge is a 10 minute drive, and museums and historic sites along the Ironbridge Gorge hark back to the Industrial Revolution. The weekend includes all meals, tuition, and tea/ coffee breaks.

Learn authentic songs passed down through generations. From the haunting polyphonies of Sardinian cantu a tenore to the soulful harmonies of Portuguese Cante Alentejano, the passionate choruses of Spanish folk traditions, the intricate weaving of Corsican paghjella, and the rich vocal textures of Sicily and mainland Italy. There will also be opportunities to explore the local area and relax on the Saturday afternoon.
