We’re a steampunk choir singing parodies and original Victorian Music Hall settings of songs.  We perform all around the East Midlands, and further if anyone offers us cake and tea!

3 part harmonies, strong social aspect, a working knowledge of Steampunk absolutely essential.

Steiner Academy Festival Choir was created in September 2024 for parents, staff, friends and ex-students. The aim is to support the school festivals throughout the year, beginning with the Advent Fair (which was our first event), followed by the Wassailing on February 1st, and more to come in the future.

Currently we are a group of 12 singers, but more are welcome.

We meet Thursday evenings during term time from 7pm-9pm.

A community singing group for these times.

Welcoming anyone – of any singing ability – in honouring all of what it is to live this moment in time.

Through song, harmony and discussion we traverse grief, beauty and quiet joys of being alive. Recognising our place in the web of life alongside shared vulnerability, cultivating resilience with community.

Songs are carefully chosen and shared with consideration, grounded in the cultural soils from which they grew, holding memory, meaning, and belonging.

We sing to remember.
We sing to feel.
We sing to keep going – together.

Autumn 2025:

• Taster session October 2, pay what you can.
• Term runs October 9 – December 11 (no session October 30). 9 x sessions £65.

It’s a huge support to my financial stability for a term to be paid in full at the beginning. That said, I offer access of attendance to all. If finances are a hindrance to you joining, please contact me so we can explore together what’s possible.
