Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, click on “By location” and select “United Kingdom”, and you will then be able to narrow down your search by postcode. Alternatively you can zoom in on the map.

If you are searching for a choir outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

Wellington Community Choir

Location

Te Whaea: National Dance & Drama Centre, 11 Hutchison Road, Newtown, Wellington

Description

Wellington Community Choir is a diverse and vibrant community of people who love to sing. Everyone is welcome! We learn by ear and don’t worry about auditions or having a “good voice”; just turn up – if you can get through the door, you’re in the choir!

We have been singing together since 2005 and learn and perform new and traditional folksongs from New Zealand and around the world, notably from the African continent with the casual addition of pop and gospel.

Fun, friendly and affordable, Wellington Community Choir provides you with the opportunity to develop your musicality by having regular rehearsals, vocal clinics, community performances, concerts, collaborations with other choirs and musicians.

We celebrate the warmth and vitality that community music making brings and offer members unforgettable experiences singing in different settings through trips, day outings and festivals.

We meet on Monday evenings during school term time, and usually do meet even if there is a bank holiday. We are a very friendly bunch and are open to new members at the start of every term and also at half term. We learn everything by ear and enjoy a wide range of harmony songs, from the Beachboys to Barbershop and all sorts in between. Come and give us a try!

West Suffolk Singing Mamas

Location

Joy Connection, 24B Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds IP33 1UZ

Description

West Suffolk Singing Mamas meets in Bury St Edmunds on a Tuesday afternoon. While the group has been set up with new mums in mind, it is a group where all women are welcome (you don’t have to be a mama to join!) All songs are simple and taught by ear. We meet for an hour of singing, followed by half an hour to catch up and grab a cuppa together!

Bumps, babies and toddlers up to 2 are welcome, and benefit from the soothing songs and co-regulation of the grown-ups, plus they get to hear their favourite sound in the world – their mum’s voice!

We sing simple harmony songs and rounds, singing together for connection, co-regulation and wellbeing.

Singing Mamas is a national non-profit, initially set up to work with perinatal women to support their mental health and wellbeing through singing.

Tuesday afternoons 1.00 - 2.30pm
