I am an Irish sean-nos “old style” singer in the English and Irish language. I teach unaccompanied and harmony singing and specialise in “by ear” singing using folks songs primarily from the Irish, Scottish, English and Appalachian traditions. I believe in helping others find their own voice and take a mind, body and spirit approach to leading singers and workshops on their particular song journey. I am an experienced workshop and song circle leader and performer and teach at festivals and venues all over the UK and Ireland as well as singing for Irish language television and radio regularly in Ireland.  I focus on the Prima Method I have developed exploring pitch, pace, posture, phrasing, placement, practice, praise (and so much more) and creating mind palaces to inhabit each song.  I also work with drones and other instruments and teach accompanied singing. I play fiddle, guitar, concertina and lute, which I use in my singing practice together with my shruti box.  I live to sing and sing to live.
