Additional information

I lead choirs in South Wales and singing workshops, holidays & training courses internationally. As a pioneer of Arts for Health & Wellbeing, one of my current favourite projects is a choir with a mental health focus for veterans, ex service men and women of all ages and their families. Songwriting is an important element of this project.

My community choirs are non-audition and open to all. We learn beautiful a cappella harmony songs focusing on such themes as connection, resilience, purpose and love.

I also specialise in facilitating group vocal improvisation and offer day workshops for developing these skills.

I am a singer, musician & composer, I have many songs and arrangements for community choirs available and I perform with the feisty a cappella folk trio, ‘Bread & Roses’ and storytelling duo, ‘Adlais’.

As well as harmony singing and vocal improvisation, I am passionate about folk, jazz and storytelling. I strive to use the tools of my trade to support a restoration of balance and equilibrium in our precious world.

Grangetown Community Choir
Description

A thriving and friendly community choir that welcomes all.  We currently have a mixed group of different ages and genders. We are currently singing some inspiring harmony songs that have a specific focus on the themes of connection, welcome and unity.

We often collaborate with local community projects led by friends from the global majority and/or local refugee projects. We have sung for Earth Day to raise money for climate justice projects and we are always seeking ways to raise funds to support people who are seeking sanctuary in Cardiff.

The community centre where we meet is built around a central garden, kept beautiful by volunteers, where we sing when the weather is good.
