Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, click on “By location” and select “United Kingdom”, and you will then be able to narrow down your search by postcode. Alternatively you can zoom in on the map.

If you are searching for a choir outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

Quay Note Singers

St Nicholas Methodist Church, Fore Street, Topsham, Exeter, EX3 0HQ, (includes disabled access)

Description

The Quay Note Singers is a friendly choir for anyone who thinks they might enjoy singing in harmony with others. No previous experience or skill is required, you are not expected to read music, instead we learn songs by ear and in no time at all we can be making beautiful music together!

We sing all kinds of music, and we have some fun too! And we can be persuaded to sing in public occasionally. No commitment necessary, you can come along any time.

The fees include a low-income rate and you can choose to pay per session or for a half-term block.  Contact Sarah for term dates.

FEEDBACK
“Thank you, Sarah, for all that you do for our singing group.  It is such an enjoyable 2 hours and I always go home relaxed and happy (even grinning!!).  With all the ups and downs of health, family and world problems, it helps in so many ways, as well as enjoying being part of a group which with your expertise and encouragement produces some lovely songs. Thank you.”

Queer Voices Gloucestershire

Location

Centre for Science and Art, 13 Lansdown, STROUD. GL5 1BB

Description

Running since September 2021 and going from strength to strength!

We are a welcoming, relaxed group of mixed ages, genders, identities and abilities. Learning by ear and having fun whilst doing it.

This is a warm and safe space to find your voice and your community. Family and allies welcome. There is no bad singing and there is a place for every voice.

We meet to rehearse in central STROUD every 2nd and 4th Tuesday evening at 7.30pm and perform across the county.

We meet on the first floor; there are unfortunately steps up to the room. The building is very old and not accessible. The toilets are currently unisex;  however we use them as un-gendered facilities when we practice or perform somewhere that doesn’t provide this..

We are about 5 mins walk from Stroud train station. There is a car park nearby and on street parking after 6pm.

The choir sings an eclectic repertoire, mainly a cappella. They also occasionally compose their own songs and collaborate with professional songwriters, composers and poets to create pieces that are distinctly Quirky.

Raise the Roof

Location

Carnegie Library Hub, 192 Herne Hill Road, Herne Hill, London, SE24 0DG

Description

Raise the Roof is a fun and inclusive Natural Voice Community Choir, located at the Carnegie Library Hub in Herne Hill.

We sing foot-stomping, spine-tingling, genre-defying, endorphin-raising songs in glorious a cappella vocal harmony – songs of passion, reflection, celebration and community from all over the world and across time – from folk to funk and doo-wop to hip-hop!

Raise the Roof is a Natural Voice Choir and all are welcome. There are no auditions, we learn by ear and sing from the soles of our feet! We are led by choral composer Kirsty Martin.

We meet on Thursdays evenings during ‘term time’
Doors open from 6.45pm and we sing from 7.00pm, with Tea and biscuit break at 8.00pm! ☕️  Our second half is from 8.15 pm – 9.00 pm.

When you arrive there’ll be a friendly face at our reception desk and you’ll be invited to take a seat in the circle. Our activities take place both sitting and standing, sometimes moving around the space in a variety of creative ways! You can always sit down for anything, whenever you need to.
