Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, click on “By location” and select “United Kingdom”, and you will then be able to narrow down your search by postcode. Alternatively you can zoom in on the map.

If you are searching for a choir outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

Horncastle Community Choir

Location

Horncastle Community Centre, Horncastle, Lincolnshire LN9 5HF

Description

Horncastle Community Choir is based on simple but effective principles: everyone is encouraged and supported to sing, and everyone is learning to be a better singer. We don’t judge, audition or criticise singing in any way, but celebrate what our voices can do and how we can make them stronger and more confident. Our repertoire includes lots of well-known songs, 20th century standards and classics, as well as choruses, well known songs and sacred pieces that have stood the test of time. We sing from word sheets, sometimes using music notation to help everyone get confident with “dots” and the songs are supported by sound files so you can listen at home or in the car.

Some members of the choir perform together – sometimes just as Horncastle Community Choir and sometimes alongside other choirs. But performing is only one aspect of the choir – no-one performs unless they want to. You’ll always be encouraged, but never expected! Performing is always enjoyable and stress-free; and we don’t sing in competitions or places where people want to judge or criticise singing. Performances are varied and include community and charity events, in churches, on street corners and across Lincolnshire.

Hullabaloo Community Quire

Location

Stanford Junior School, Stanford Road, Brighton BN1 5PR

Description

Everyone can sing with Hullabaloo, including YOU! We are an inclusive and welcoming choir – you won’t be left on your own and you’ll soon be one the gang! No auditions or reading music, just show up on Monday evenings and add your voice to the joyful chorus.

What’s the Hullabaloo repertoire like?

Diverse!  Creative! Exciting and fun to sing!

Hullabaloo has an amazingly eclectic  repertoire which includes foot tapping, spine tingling arrangements of folk, jazz, pop and blues songs, which share a set lists with compositions by contemporary composers and a far reaching, authentically sourced bank of songs from the global majority, not to mention songs spanning a thousand years!

But what really sets us apart from other choirs is our collaborative projects. We have, over the last 24 years, gained a positive reputation as a collaborative choir. We’ve been lucky enough to work with musical legends, including Liane Carroll, Oysterband, Lorraine Bowen and The Moulettes

Kirsty Martin – our Musical Director – writes us amazing arrangements that weave us around the existing structure of our collaborators’ original songs and the effect is electrifying!

So if you’re looking for:
  • Creative collaborations
  • Funky arrangements
  • Original compositions
  • Songs from all over the world
  • An ancient and modern mix

Then Hullabaloo is for YOU
